Looking for a job on campus, but not sure where to go? The Bridge is an online tool sponsored by the Career Development Center that not only will help you explore future career and educational opportunities, but also features postings for available student jobs on Bucknell’s campus. The staff at the Career Development Center have put together a very helpful guide to get you started on The Bridge. Click here to access!
Another great way to hear of openings across campus is from your friends and classmates! Once you arrive, start asking around as to what are popular openings or what others in your area of study or with similar interests are doing. Your Orientation Assistants and RA can also be a great resource in helping you get connected as you dive into life at Bucknell.
If you have qualified for work study through your financial aid package, remember that it is your responsibility to take the initiative to find the opportunities available to you. You are not guaranteed employment on campus just because you have qualified for work study, but there are a lot of positions available on campus and new ones come available each semester, so keep checking The Bridge and other campus resources to find more information.
Finally, you may be asked for a resume as you apply for on-campus positions. Now might be a good time to make sure your resume is up to date with your latest employment and leadership experiences.
