Pre-O takes place Aug. 16-21, right before New Student Orientation begins. You can learn more about our many Pre-O offerings and sign up here — space is limited, and registration is first-come, first-served. (Athletes should check with their coaches before signing up for a Pre-O program.)

What are some fun Bucknell traditions?

Fall Fest (a carnival with an outdoor concert and free food!), Center Stage (a big-name comedian and free food!), Black Student Union Stomp Out and Fashion Show Bison Sound (student band festival and free food!) , Chrysalis (end of year celebration with a concert, chocolate fountain and much more! Canoe Battleship (imagine canoes in the pool and sinking them with buckets of water)

What is the housing situation?

First year students are housed together in designated first year halls and placed based upon their foundation seminar. First year students also have the option of choosing to reside in a residential college program within a first year building.

What is there to do in the town/outside of the campus?

Bucknell is conveniently centrally located between NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington DC. Lewisburg offers amazing outdoor opportunities on the Susquehanna River, the local bike trail, countless hiking spots, and surrounding ski mountains. Favorite local student destinations include Knoebels Amusement Park, Ard’s Farm (hayrides, pumpkin patch, animals, and more), the Little League World Series, Penn’s Cave, and much more. Of course, Lewisburg has some incredible restaurants and downtown events!
