Each semester the student transportation office offers a shuttle schedule to selected airports and the Harrisburg train station for the breaks. The College of Engineering offers 5-year dual degrees in Engineering & Management and Liberal Arts & Engineering. The five-year Program in Engineering & Management combines the technical capabilities of engineering with the business acumen of management to prepare students for leadership roles in technology companies. When will I learn about which classes I will be taking for the fall semester? What happens if I want to change a course I was assigned?

Your classes will be available in myBucknell during the second week of August. You will be permitted to make changes to your schedule if you have AP scores or transfer credit that already provide you credit for the course in which you were placed. Please contact the Registrar’s office at 570.577.1201. You will also be permitted to change if you have a disability that will interfere with your success with this schedule. Bucknell offers graduate work leading to a master’s degree in many disciplines: animal behavior, biology, chemistry, education, engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, environmental and mechanical), English, mathematics and psychology. What academic accommodations are available for students with accessibility needs (i.e., learning, psychological, etc.)?

The Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR) at Bucknell University exists to ensure access, provide support, and help the student with a disability to navigate or remove informational, physical and attitudinal barriers. Necessary accommodations are dependent on the nature of the disability, the self-report from the student with a disability, as well as the supportive documentation. Is there help available for students who want to improve their writing?

The staff of the Writing Center will help you plan, compose and revise your writing. The Center is staffed by full-time professionals, along with peer tutors trained to work with writers. In a typical session, writers read their drafts out loud and discuss ideas with tutors. Tutors don’t write your paper for you; rather, they provide feedback on the clarity of your draft, ask useful questions that will help you revise, and identify areas of your writing that might need further explanation or development.
